Honors Engaged with Suitable

Easily find and get credit for engaged experiences.

To earn Full or Associate University Honors, you need to complete Honors Engaged experiences. You can find and get credit for completing experiences on the Suitable website or the Suitable app. Download the app or visit the website, then use your Z-ID@niu.edu email address to register and log in.

You'll need to give the app access to your camera to scan QR codes for some experiences. If you have any questions about using Suitable, contact us at honors@niu.edu.

Find New Experiences

Log in to Suitable to search for engaged experiences. Select Achievements in the navigation menu and check the Featured tab to see current highlighted experiences. The Milestones tab provides a more comprehensive range of experiences.

Submit Custom Experiences

If you can't find a certain experience when searching Suitable, you can submit a custom experience for approval. Log in and view the milestone Achievements, then click on the category that best fits your experience (Undergraduate Research, Campus Involvement, etc.). Click on that achievement for instructions on how to submit for credit.

Submit Previous Experiences

You can use Suitable to submit past experiences, including those completed at colleges you attended before NIU. Log in and select Achievements, then search for your experience. If you don't see your experience listed, you can submit a custom experience for credit. Experiences you completed before enrolling in college won't count.

View Your Progress

Suitable keeps track of your experiences. Log in and select Dashboard to see your progress. In the app, click the gauge icon to get to the Dashboard.
